Rwandan Genocide
- Home to approximately 10.1 million people, Rwanda supports the densest population in continental Africa
- Site of 1994 genocide where an estimated 1,000,000 (one million) people were slaughtered in less than 100 days.
- UNICEF says that – One of the greatest challenges facing Rwanda today is how to care for its massive population of orphans
- It is estimated that there are more than one-million orphans in the country of Rwanda
- Over 100,000 children are the PRIMARY caregivers in more than 42,000 home.
- The scars of the genocide are deep in the consciousness of these orphans.
Church of God in Rwanda
- Church of God suffered greatly during the genocide
- Some who are pastors today saw their entire family slaughtered
- Corruption within the church further destroyed the church
- However new leadership has arisen and the Church of God is growing again
- There are only 11 Church of God congregations in a nation of million people

- Establish a national headquarters church in Kigali
- Build a Orphans & Vulnerable Children Center
- Provide Vocational Training to widows and orphans
